Photo position
This is my draft for my magazine picture. The picture is close up and shows attitude.
I haven't chosen a picture with any props has Demi Lovato is a well known pop star so the readers would already know that this is a music magazine.
Next I need to fix the colours for the masthead, cover line etc to make them stand out!

Target Audience
The magazines I have chosen are Top of the Pops and Kerrang! These magazines are very different in a lot of things including their target audience.
The target audience for Top of the pops magazine is aimed at young girls/teens aged 11-17 that have an interest in pop music, fashion and gossip.
Whereas Kerrang's target audience is very different. Kerrang is a music magazine which concentrates on the more punk rock genre of music, its target audience is 13-20 year olds and of mainly male readers.

Conventions
These are some of the conventions I have researched
- Mastheads
- Lead Cover Line
- Barcode and Prices
- Image
Second magazine cover
The second magazine I chosen was 'Kerrang'. This is another music magazine that was named after the onomatopoeic word that derives from the noise made when smashing an electric guitar, Kerrang! The main target audience for Kerrang magazine are 15-19 year olds who are interested in rock/punk/grunge/indie music.
Music Magazines
This is the first magazine I chosen, it features a range of different artists and the genre for this magazine is pop. The target audience for this magazine are young girls/pre teens who are interested in fashion, gossip and pop music in the 11-16 age range.
